Observability Engineer

As an observability engineer at Etsy I was responsible for maintaining the continuity of Etsy.com by providing reliable services for logging, tracing and metrics. As part of this work I have migrated services out of a traditional datacenter and into the cloud, designed large-scale data pipelines, and participated as a rotating member of a 24/7 on-call schedule.

Automation Engineer

At MOTU I was a member of an embedded hardware development team. I worked to reduce costs and increase iteration-speed by adapting cloud-native build procedures to the embedded software development landscape.

English Teacher

I lived and taught for a year in China. I was responsible for fourteen classes of 80 students each. I produced two to four new lesson plans a week focused on building my students' confidence, speaking skills, and vocabulary.

Engineering Consultant

The Center for Educational Software Development is an internal team at UMass focusing on tools for students, educators, and researchers. I was hired by The Center to observe and improve their software development practices. I created a set of recommendations to update their version control, deployment reliability, and stakeholder communication.
